WITH THE GROWING EVIL OF KIDNAPPING IN NIGERIA

 

PREAMBLE

 

Kidnapping incidents in the country have been persistently looming over and around us in alarming dimensions.

The crime is no doubt expanding and raising palpable fears across the nation. The target population has shifted from the rich to virtually all Nigerians, as evidenced by indiscriminate abductions nationwide.

On daily basis, many innocent citizens are falling victims to the rise in this crime and are having to pay millions of naira in ransom.

The development apart from the obvious implications to national security is in addition having its toll on the enthusiasm of foreigners wishing to invest in the country.

To make matters worse, a recent news report of 27^th November, 2019 in Punch Newspapers has shown that some unscrupulous security officers are also now engaging directly in the business of kidnapping for ransom. This development is extremely dangerous and very worrisome. Again, it should be noted that Christmas and New Year seasons have consistently over the years witnessed increase in kidnapping rates.

The foregoing without doubts, underscores the crucial need for a sustained coordinated prayer action to deal with this evil in the land.

The kingdom of darkness is sustained by darkness and wickedness. As watchmen and Sureties for the nation, it is our responsibility to ceaselessly pray against all the deeds of the wicked. (PSALM 141:5)

 

DETAILS OF THE PRAYER ACTION

• This prayer action commences on Saturday the 7^th of December, 2019 to end on Friday the 24^th January, 2020.

• All INTERCESSORS are to hold a weekly corporate overnight prayers (11:00pm – 3:00am) as long as the Project lasts.

• A daily prophetic action is encouraged in each home using the broom to sweep away all kidnappers and ritual killers in Nigeria. ISAIAH 14:22-23.

• There shall be weekly prophetic patrols to anoint the land and to raise altars of vengeance & judgment against the evil of kidnapping. This should be done corporately at the level of each House of Prayer. Each patrol team should anoint themselves and break bread before the outings.

• Each House of Prayer is expected to complete not less than 7 prophetic patrols during the period of the Prayer Action.

• By the spiritual law of contact, the earth can be activated through prophetic words to become an agent of judgment against the enemies of God. In course of the Prophetic Patrol, get a token of the sand of the earth and decree an end to the crisis of kidnapping in Nigeria. Let the earth of Nigeria leave the company of kidnappers no survivors. JEREMIAH 22:29

1 Let God arise,

Let His enemies be scattered;

Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.

CONCLUSION

May we receive strength to effectively deploy our priesthood in all our locations, so that God’s judgment will be sustained against the spirit of rebellion that drives this wickedness of kidnapping in the land.

• Yes all NIGERIA have transgressed and rebelled against you LORD! Let us lament and repent of our selfishness, greed, deceit, falsehood worship of Mammon, lack of love for human life, wickedness. These are the sins that fuel kidnapping.

• Let us cry out for the mercy of God upon the Church in Nigeria, we have failed God! We have loved pleasure more than the LORD. We have desired Mansions instead of Mission. We are guilty of serving for only what we expect to gain.

• Raise a prayer of lamentation to God concerning the atrocities perpetrated by kidnappers in the land. They have penetrated virtually every part of the nation. They rape, sodomize, have no respect for age. They kill any how, whether young, little or old. They distress people and afflict them with such wounds in the soul that will last a lifetime.

 

INTERCESSION / SUPPLICATION

 

PSALM 27:10-14 / PSALM 121:3-4

• Pray & beseech God to take over our protection and security because we have come to the point in this matter of kidnapping where our help can only come from Him.

• Declare PSALM 91 – personalize and pray it verse by verse over the nation.

• Declare ISAIAH 60:18-20 and fasten it upon your city, state and entire nation.

• 2 KINGS 13:4-5 / PSALM 103:13-14

Plead passionately with God to look down upon us a father and show us compassion. Let him be touched by our oppression from the hands of these kidnappers and send us deliverance.

• Ask God to completely stamp out this kidnapping and restore the nation so we can dwell peacefully in our houses as before.

• 1 KINGS 20:23-25

Prophesy that henceforth like the Syrian army, all kidnappers will begin to commit mysterious tactical blunders that will easily give them away to be arrested and eliminated.

• Oh Lord God, turn Your face against these evil doers and cut off their remembrance from the earth.

• Look unto the afflictions of this nation, and deliver us from all that trouble us.

• Let the wicked be slain by the evil they do, and because they hate righteousness let them be desolate.

1. 1-4: Oh Lord, plead the cause of your people and strive with them that strive with this nation. Take up your shield and buckler and stand up for our help Oh God.

• Draw your spear and stop the way of those that persecute us in this nation and save your people Oh God.

• Let them be confounded and put to shame Oh God. Turn them back in confusion, let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of the Lord, chase them.

• 6-11: Let their way be dark and slippery. Let destruction come upon them unawares. Let them be destroyed by their own devices Oh God.

• Deliver the poor and needy from them that are too strong for us Oh God.

• 12-28: Lord, how long will you look at the wicked, rescue the nation and thy people from unrighteousness and those that devise deceitful matters against those that are quiet in the land.

• Awake Oh God to your judgment, stir yourself unto the cause of your people, and let the unrighteous not rejoice over your people Oh God, let the wicked not swallow up the nation or magnify themselves against us, Oh God.

• Proclaim PSALM 55 & 58 – Turn them into prayers.

• Let the blood they have shed, the trauma of the victims and the global lamentation and outcry against their wickedness mobilize the earth to release all manner of afflictions against all their camps.

• JEREMIAH 33: 25-26 / JUDGES 5:20

Let us invoke the ordinances, laws and covenants between God and creation to execute the lamentations and decrees of the church against all kidnappers. Let the stars henceforth reject their enchantments.

• PSALM 19:1 / ISAIAH 44:24-28

Cast down the stars of these kidnappers; delete the voices of their diviners and socerers from the sun and the moon. Ask God to frustrate all their tokens.

• ISAIAH 30:30-32

Oh Lord, cause your voice of Authority to be heard from heaven. Let the descending of your arm be seen in fierce anger. Burst the cloud and pour down hailstones upon your enemies oh God.

• ISAIAH 26:31

Decree that the earth of Nigeria will uncover the locations of all kidnappers and their sponsors. Command the earth to expose them for judgment.

• Pray that the covenant they have made with the earth of Nigeria to hide them will be annulled. Decree that the earth will no longer answer to the blood of their sacrifice and covenant.

• Ask God to hear the cry of the people and be moved to take vengeance against these criminals and bandits. Let Him render punishments to the wicked so they cease to triumph. PSALM 94:1-3

• ZECHARIAH 5:1-4 / MAL. 3:5 / HABAKKUK 2:9-12

Oh Lord of Hosts, send forth your flying scroll of judgment into the houses of all kidnappers and ritualists. Let it remain in their dwellings until they are consumed. Be a swift judge against all that oppress others and deprive them of freedom and do not fear you, oh God.

• PSALM 55:8-11

Oh Lord, in your mercy hasten the escape of all who are currently detained in various locations in this nation. Send confusion in the camp of their abductors. Divide their tongues and stop the growth and expansion of their evil enterprise. Cause them to proceed no further.

• Proclaim LAMENTATION 3:64-66
