🍑VERSE OF THE DAY

Joseph of Arimathea, a prominent council member, who was himself waiting for the kingdom of God, coming and taking courage, went in to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus.

Mark 15:43.

MEDITATION 

God will always position special vessels to meet some crises situations in the kingdom. Jesus had just been condemned, mocked and crucified. He died the death of a most guilty wretch, yet this prominent Jewish Senator went out to courageously and publicly profess attachment to Him. He did not allow what he may loose to keep him from honouring Christ. 

PRAYER 

Dear Father in heaven, may we be people who have a great love for Jesus that keeps us close to Him even when everyone else turns away. In addition, grant that the nations do not continue to lack men of noble character and reputation, who will openly take a public stand for the cause of truth, righteousness and justice in all domains of life. 

Please fill our lands with outstanding, fearless and dependable men, who like Joseph, will recognize that Jesus is worthy of the highest honour. 

Have mercy and forgive those  highly placed but compromised  leaders, who claim to love Christ, but for selfish and parochial sentiments, choose to hide their light under bushels while the nation is destroyed by forces of corruption and injustice.
