PRAYER FOR THE POWER SECTOR
The power sector of our country holds the key to unlock the progress of all other sectors. The various sectors of the economy are not doing well because power is not stable. How we have lost so many industries both manufacturing and other service providers just because we can’t guarantee the consistency of power supply. Secondary industries and artisans who depend solely on power have been forced to operate and generate their resources through alternative power sources namely: Generators, Solar energy, Inverters etc
There are many saboteurs and pipeline vandals who almost on daily basis, are destroying the gas pipes that supply gas to the various power stations. May God arise and help us dismantle the enemies of power sector in the mighty name of Jesus… Amen.

Let’s thank God for the power sector and all the personnel both past and present that worked and still working earnestly for our country to have non-stop 24 hour power supply. May their efforts be strengthened and their expectations be granted in Jesus name.
Let’s ask God to facilitate every government effort so far to fix power as well as generate enough energy for consumption.
Appreciate the Lord for the privatization of the power sector of the nation, although the handover process has taken quite some time to be concluded. Ask God to persuade the buyers to follow the rules and regulations including other guidelines for the benefits of every citizen of our country.
Bring repentance on behalf of the staff and other stakeholders of the power sector over the ceaseless disagreements with the management, frequent strike actions and other provocative activities. Pray that they will think of the nation first as well as resolve all crisis that have become recurrent decimal in the power generation, transmission and distribution.
Renounce all the negative pronouncements against the power sector, all false allegations, litigations in the court, and the apathy of our people towards paying their electricity bills, unauthorized and illegal reconnections some people as well as lack of sincere & criminally minded personnel in the power sector.
Ask God to break the powerful cartel that wants to cripple every effort of the government to fulfil their promises in power supply.
Ask the Lord for angelic assistance to overthrow the activities of gas pipe vandals as well as the cabals that empower them to sabotage the efforts of our government. JOB 5:12-13
Let’s pray for adequate supply of gas to the various power stations across the nation.
Let a technology monitoring device be developed to checkmate the activities of vandals and theft of materials meant for the building of power stations.
Let’s pray particularly for the National Independent Power Project (NIPP), the management including the newly appointed Executive Directors that the hand of God will be upon them. Ask God for wisdom to properly manage the projects.
Pray for every staff both regular and contract, the contractors handling various power stations across the country to effectively finish the assignments on ground. Request for the Lord to give them speedy access to funds when needed as well as proper accountability of the already disbursed allocations. Come against the mentality of project abandonment and delay of work.
Let’s pray for the settlement of cases in court, Human Right Commission issues, no more accidents on site, communal clashes between host communities and the management of NIPP.
Let’s passionately plead with God to uphold the existing power sector reforms and for the new administration not to tamper with these reforms in order not to take us back to zero level as previously experienced.
Proclaim GEN. 1:3 as many times as possible over our power issues. Declare loud and clear to the elements of creation that 24 hour power supply is possible in Nigeria.
Appreciate the Lord who rules over the affairs of our nation and remind the Lord to fulfil His word in ISA. 46:10 over our nation.
In his inaugural speech, President Muhammadu Buhari identified power shortages as one of the immediate concerns that his administration will tackle head on.
Pray that this new government will be used of God to break whatever jinx that has made 24hours uninterrupted power supply unattainable.

Prophesy a revival of the entire power sector so that generation, transmission and distribution companies will be perfectly working. Let it get to the point where even generator and diesel importers will now come and invest in power sector.
